Prescription review
We verify your current refraction — or perform an eye examination if needed. Contact lens correction differs slightly from spectacle prescription due to vertex distance, so we calculate the lens power precisely.
Ocular measurements
Keratometry measures the curvature of your cornea to select the correct lens base curve and diameter. This ensures a comfortable, stable fit that moves naturally with your eye.
Trial lens & comfort check
We apply a trial lens and assess fit, centration and movement. You wear the lens for 10–15 minutes to evaluate comfort and vision before we confirm the selection.

- UV is intense year-round (index 11–12 in summer, rarely below 7 in winter). Standard contact lenses do not block UV — even those that do are not a substitute for sunglasses. We always recommend pairing daytime contact wear with UV-rated sunglasses, especially for outdoor work, beach days and water sports.
- Humidity sits between 70 % and 85 % most of the year. Monthly lens cases need strict hygiene because warm humid air shortens the safe shelf life of solution and accelerates biofilm formation. For patients with active outdoor lifestyles, we often recommend daily disposables — no case, no overnight storage, lower infection risk.
- The lagoon and the sea are not lens-friendly. Acanthamoeba and other waterborne organisms can cause severe corneal infection. Our standard advice: never swim with contacts in (whether sea, pool, lagoon or river); remove them before showering; replace daily disposables immediately if water has touched your eyes.
- Air-conditioned offices and 8+ hours of screen time amplify dry eye. If your day is mostly indoors with AC, monthly lenses with high water content typically work well. If you switch between AC interiors and the heat outside frequently, we may recommend a different material profile or a back-up pair of glasses.
